Baths and The Skin

One of the body’s most important eliminating organs is the skin. Baths help bring out toxins through the pores, promotes perspiration, help to bring down fevers and are relaxing and soothing for sore muscles, bruises, etc.

Here are a few possibilities (stay in water 20-30 minutes):

  • Ginger bath. 3-4 Tbsp. to tepid bath water.
  • Vinegar / salt bath. 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup salt to tepid bath water.
  • Salt bath. 1 cup salt in bath tub of water.
  • Chickweed, Comfrey baths for sores and rashes. 2 quarts tea per tub of water.
