Food Recipes: Trail Bars à la Joy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, home-made
  • 3/4 cup honey, raw
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 2 eggs, fertilized
  • 1/4 cup honey, raw
  • 1 cup chopped almond
  • 1/4 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup coconut, unsweetened

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, 3/4 cup honey, and lemon juice until well blended. Combine flour, oats, and wheat germ. Mix with wet ingredients and spread evenly in bottom of 9 × 13 baking pan. Beat eggs and 1/4 cup honey. Stir in rest of ingredients until coated. Spread over crust in pan. Bake 30-35 minutes.
