Food Recipes: Roast Chicken Rub

Ingredients

In a small bowl stir together:
1 1/2 tsp. Real Sea salt
1 tsp. Paprika
1 tsp. Thyme leaf
1/2 tsp. Onion powder
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. Garlic powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Rinse the inside and outside of a 4-5 pound chicken and pat outside completely dry with paper towels. Place in a 13×9 glass baking dish. Scoop up some of the rub with your hand and smear it all around the inside of the chicken. Rub some of the spice mix on each side of the chicken until you have used all the rub. Peel and halve a medium onion and stuff both halves inside the chicken. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 hours.
