Food Recipes: Tropical Smoothie

by: Joy

Categories: Beverages, Breakfast, Dessert, Snacks

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain yogurt (home-made is best)
  • 1/2 cup cream (raw is best)
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 5-6 frozen whole strawberries
  • Honey to taste

Directions

Blend first 5 ingredients in blender. While it's still running, add frozen fruit a little at a time until smoothie is the consistency you like it. Add honey to taste. Yummy!

Sometimes, to make it more filling, I add a few almonds or a bit of rolled oats. Add them just before putting in the fruit.

Hi!
Thanks for being so prompt about sending the carrot powder I ordered. It is a great way to get proper nutrition, especially for those who don't have time to eat a balanced diet. The carrot powder is very fresh and if it is mixed with warm water, it dissolves better, but it is difficult to dissolve in liquid that is cold such as orange juice. Mixing it with yogurt is a tasty alternative and it is a great way to get proper vitamins while traveling. This is a great product.
