Bentonite Clay Detox for Perfect Pores

One day, while looking in the mirror I noticed a bunch of blackheads on my face. I thought about all the different face masks and creams available in stores today, but couldn’t remember any one in particular that I really liked.

I was till contemplating my face when someone knocked at the door. It turned out to be my youngest sister. Her arrival prompted me to remember awhile ago, when I had put Bentonite clay on my face. She had seen me and thought I looked so funny, she had laughed hysterically. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about it until now, because I had liked its effects on my face the last time I’d used it.

I scrambled around the house and found a little bag of Bentonite clay. Using my cupped hand, I put a small amount in it while leaning over the bathroom sink. Then, I added water to make a thick paste while mixing it with my fingers. I then smeared the clay all over my face, being careful to keep my eyes and mouth uncovered. My little sister immediately started giggling when she saw my muddy, gray face.

As the clay dried (about 10 minutes) I went about my house work and almost forgot it was there, but little sister didn’t. Her continued laughter reminded me it was time to wash it off, so I rinsed it with warm water and patted my face dry with a towel. So that my skin would not be too dry I used my regular moisturizer and face lotion. My face felt very clean and refreshed.

That evening as I greeted my husband at the door, he said my face looked radiant and fresh. I told him about the miracle clay and even asked him to smear some on my back before taking a shower.

Using Bentonite or other clays once or twice a week keeps my pores clean without drying out my skin.
