Description

From successful parents, learn how to train up your children rather than discipline them up. With humor and real-life examples this book shows you how to train your children before the need to discipline arises.

Be done with corrective discipline; make them allies rather than adversaries. The stress will be gone and your obedient children will praise you and bring joy and peace into your home. Thousands have testified to the amazing results of these profoundly simple techniques.

I have just read the sample chapter of this book
As a mother of 3 wonderful children and seven grandchildren, I think this is one of the most dreadful books I have ever come across.
In an otherwise excellent website, I cannot understand why you should include such a book.
I cannot possibly recommend or purchase anything from your site whilst you continue to promote books like this.

I read the first chapter given here. I nearly dropped my laptop when I read the following in the 3rd sentence of the chapter:

"Their parents looked like escapees from a WWII Polish boxcar."

Are you kidding me? Not only does this offend me as a Jew, it's the kind of stuff you expect to see on a Klan or neo-nazi site, not a site for herbs and supplements!

Another quote:

"At five months she was too unknowing to be punished for disobedience. But for her own good we attempted to train her not to climb the stairs by coordinating the voice command of “No” with little spats on her bare legs. The switch was a twelve-inch long, one-eighth-inch diameter sprig from a willow tree."

Not to mention the mother pulling her baby's hair when he accidentally bit her breast feeding.

This is hands down the most abhorrent thing I have possibly ever read! I actually feel sick now from what I just experienced. I'd really hate to see the rest of the book....

I was prepared to place a quite large order - I'll be taking my business elsewhere now - and I'll be sure to share this information with other people who are considering a purchase from this website.

In response to the negative comments posted here~ I have not read this book, but what stands out to me after reading chapter 1 is the emphasise on parent's self control. Discipline done in anger is not discipline. It is reaction, which quickly becomes abuse. Also I liked their point about training before the action becomes a problem. I have seen it done and love the results. I don't agree with everything I read, however there are points that I appreciate here. God bless you all.

As a child abuse survivor who knows the harm that this horrific type of parenting causes, I refuse to buy books from any website or bookstore that sells it. Please remove this book!
