Beeyoutiful’s Sage Oil is the precious oil collected from the common sage plant, whose soft gray-green leaves and blue flowers adorn many country gardens. This incredibly pungent and powerful oil is extracted from the plant through steam distillation. Throughout history many cultures have claimed that Sage was beneficial from head to toe, using it not only in the kitchen but for medicinal purposes as well.
Sage Oil bears a marked “herb” aroma to it and should be used sparingly because the active ingredient, Thujone, is quite potent. To reduce the potency and thus potential side effects, mix Sage Oil with a carrier oil such as Jojoba Oil or Sweet Almond Oil before topical application.
Sage Oil is known to help brighten your outlook, calm a weary, anxious soul, aid the memory, relieve symptoms brought on by female hormonal imbalances, and bring soothing peace to aching muscles and joints. (Note: Sage Oil should never be used if you are pregnant or nursing, have epilepsy or a history of seizures.)
Diffusing: When diffusing Sage Oil for aromatherapy, we suggest mixing it with Eucalyptus Oil as a base. It also mixes well with Rosemary, Lemon, Thyme and Oregano.
Topical: Mix 1-2 drops of Sage Oil with a teaspoon or more of your favorite carrier oil for a great massage oil. It can also be added to your shampoo or conditioner. Mix ½ cup Coconut Oil and ½ cup baking soda with ten drops of Sage Oil for a great anti-perspiring deodorant.

Suggested Use - Primarily for aromatherapy use. For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil prior to use. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios.
