Tammy's Recipes: A family was fed up with their horrible, smelly city water. Like so many others, they lugged around jugs to and from the grocery store so they could at least drink decent water. Then, one day they learned from a friend about the wonder-working Berkey water filter. After doing their homework on the whole filtering water at home topic, they purchased our Royal Berkey, and have been telling others about it ever since.
Stacy Makes Cents: One of our Royal Berkeys becomes a welcomed addition to a household. Learn the reasons why, after doing some research, they chose a Berkey (ie. no electricity or water pressure required). Oh, and they love the fact that the elements last for years and only need cleaning every few months.
Blessed in Homemaking: Alix says her water was gross because it tasted bad and smelled too much like chlorine. Lucky for her, she doesn't have to put up with that "gross" water anymore (nor with the chlorine). Here is a quick read about how Alix's water woes ended when a Royal Berkey came into her life.
More Than Mommy: For years, Renae's family dealt with their tap water problem by buying bottled water or using a pitcher filter. After a while, they realized how expensive and disappointently ineffective these solutions were so looked for yet another answer. Let Renae tell you how the Royal Berkey was everything they had ever hoped for and cost less per gallon than anything else available today.
|Holds||Flow per Hour|

Drinking more water daily has been clearly proven to have a noticeably positive impact on overall health. But when you are drinking unfiltered tap water, the amount of pollutants taxing your liver and kidneys are staggering, and ultimately compromising your health. Bottled water regularly makes headlines as being nothing more than city water bottled up with a pretty label.
Drinking water was typically polluted with viruses, parasites, pathogenic bacteria, cysts, and the usual heavy metals, such as lead and mercury. Municipalities treat water for such contaminents with marginal to moderate success. However, treated water is often found to have excessive levels of chlorine and fluoride, and there is an increasing amount of research proving that these chemicals do more harm than good (it's like choosing between two evils).
To make matters worse, municipalities accross the U.S. are finding unprecedented levels of pharmaceuticals, and other chemicals in water. The list of pollutants commonly found in drinking water seems to just keep growing. Pesticides, MTBE, trihalomenthanes, nitrates, herbicides, VOCs, radon 222, organic solvents, and the list goes on.
Our Royal Berkey's driving factor IS the quality of the resulting water because Royals can remove ALL the pollutants mentioned on this page and some. A few of the added benefits are the fact that they are quite portable, and use no electricity or water pressure. The elements are cleanable, and last a number of years. Oh, and here is something NO OTHER filtering system on the market can do, filter water from a lake, pond, swimming pool, etc. That's right, our Royal Berkeys produce the highest quality water regardless of the source (except for salt water).
For over 14 years now, our family has used and sold Berkeys, and love them. Give us a call or e-mail us, and we'll be glad to talk with you about them. Oh, and check out the FAQ Page, and the reviews below for more insight into these top-of-the-line filters.

Right away, we noticed how much different (better tasting) our drinking water is since we switched to the Berkey. Prior to this we had a PUR faucet mounted system, the Berkey does more. We all drink more water. When we had neighbors over, we encouraged them to taste the Berkey water. They were use to our city's tap water...they could taste the different & now want a Berkey.
Tip: we figured out a way to get our elements working at their best...which was after scrubbing & re-priming them, we laid it down in a dishpan of tap water. Keep submersed in water while the other elements were being prepared (scrubbed & primed). Once all the elements are ready, we take them out of the water & install them into the Berkey chamber.

I finally bought a Berkey Water Filter after several weeks of studying the issue and comparing other systems. In summary, the Berkey is a proven product and in wide use, has superior filtering with the documentation to prove it, is portable, and very versatile given the option to use up to four filters at a time.
My Berkey arrived promptly and, like a kid on Christmas morning, I immediately set it up for use.
My family filters city water through it and we noticed a vast improvement in taste, plus peace of mind knowing that we are one step closer to self-sufficiency in case of disaster or emergency.

I recently purchased a Royal Berkey water filter system. I am very happy with the service and the product I received. I liked it so much I told a friend at work who was looking for a water purification system and he seemed very interested in the Berkey.

I just received my Berkey water filter. I love it. I have been buying bottled water for 20 years I can now drink my own water and the Berkey will have paid for itself in under a year.
