The waters of the Dead Sea are unique, having a total salt concentration that is 10 times higher than ocean water, reaching 33% versus 3%. But that's not all! The composition of the dead sea salt is also unique, comprising magnesium, potassium and calcium chlorides, in addition to a high concentration of bromides.
This extraordinary chemical composition has made the Dead Sea an ideal spot for people seeking relief from skin and rheumatic disorders, and an equally popular choice for vacationers seeking relaxation. In fact, these soothing miracle-working waters have a reputation that dates back over 2000 years when the Roman historian Flavius noted… "Dead Sea salt cannot be praised too highly… travelers take this salt home because it heals the human body and is therefore used in many medicines."
Bringing the Dead Sea's properties right into the bathtub for relaxation and relief, the widely reputed soothing effects of the Dead Sea can now be enjoyed in the privacy of one's home. Dead Sea Salt can also be used as a raw material in the cosmetic industry. Dead Sea salt is unrefined and perfect for spa treatments and for making therapeutic grade Dead Sea bath salt and scrubs. The high mineral content and the detoxifying properties of these special salts cleanse and detoxify naturally, pulling the toxins out and away from the body. This is a perfect product for those unable or unwilling to change their dietary regime. Mineral rich and less drying than normal sea salt, dead sea salts have been used for millennia to nourish the skin and ease aches and pains.
The Salt derived from the Dead Sea contains at least 21 different minerals, 12 of which are not found in the water of any other ocean or sea. Dead Sea Salt is one of the highest natural sources of Magnesium, said to have amazing skin healing properties. Magnesium is known for accelerating cell metabolism and aids in the skin’s healing process. Some studies indicate that psoriasis sufferers show a shortage of magnesium. Dead Sea Salts have been used to treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, reduce the pain and inflammation of arthritis and rheumatism, and generally aid in relaxation. They also contribute to detoxification of the skin (the largest organ of the body.)

It is like getting a facial every time I use it. My face had bad acne and since I have been using it for the past 2 weeks my face has cleared up. I can't believe it, why didn't I try this 10 years ago:-)
