Over the years, we have filled thousands of capsules at home using this filler. The process of filling your own capsules is simple enough that an older child can easily handle the task.
The two main benefits of doing this are: incredible savings on purchasing already filled capsules, and the assurance that only the product you wanted (and quality) goes into each capsule. There are other good reasons, but those two keep us filling our own capsules.
Keep in mind that we offer 2 sizes of the empty gel capsules, filler, and tamper (size "0" and size "00"). You'll need to have each of these in the same size. Now, here are the directions you will find on the box of your filler. Happy filling.
Step 1: Assemble
Before starting, place your capsule holder on a large piece of paper. Place spacers on end post facing the center. Set the holder on the four corner posts resting on spacers above base.
Step 2: Load
Manually separate empty capsules placing the longer half into holes. (Top of empty capsule half should be below surface of holder.)
Step 3: Fill
Pour powdered herbs or vitamins onto holder spreading substance evenly with card, completely filling all capsules.
Step 4: Tamp
The accessory Tamping Tool can be used at this point to simultaneously pack contents of capsules. Remove excess substance carefully by scraping away from the holder and onto the paper. Use the tamper to pack the contents of the capsule filling them completely. Refill capsules and repeat process.
Step 5: Cap
Turn the end spacers 90 degrees. The holder will fall down, exposing the upper half of filled capsules. Manually replace the top cap, and remove your now-filled and finished capsules!
