A little spicy, a lot yummy, and very soothing to the digestive tract! There is a reason that Ginger is a popular theme through most Asian cooking, and it is not only for it delectable taste! Ginger is extremely versatile, matching with both savory and sweet. While not exactly pleasant to behold, the brown root holds powers to aid the body in many different ways beyond just tickling your taste buds!

First seen in India and China, ginger is well matched with the spicier dishes served, helping to calm the stomach and reduce discomfort after hotter meals. There are multiple compounds within the ginger that are responsible for the therapeutic value, but gingerols and shogaols are the two most recognized for helping soothe the digestive tract, particularly nausea.

While eating small amounts of raw ginger at meals, cooking with ginger and sipping ginger teas have been practiced for centuries, the use of Ginger Oil in aromatherapy has also been equally as beneficial. Many claim that diffusing Ginger oil can increase energy, dispel downcast hearts, invigorate the body, and chase away germs.

Added to massage oils, Ginger oil can help calm the raging storm in joints, decrease the soreness in your muscles, stimulate circulation and warm a cold body on a winter’s day. A few drops in a warm bath may stimulate the body and chase away lethargy. Mixes well with Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Orange and Lemon Essential Oils!

Diffusing: When you are tired, feeling worn down, been exposed to a virus, or have the sniffles, add some Ginger Oil to your diffuser and breathe away! It can also provide comfort when you have sore or upset tummies around your house!

Topical/Massage: When added to your favorite massage or carrier oils, such as Beeyoutiful’s Jojoba or Sweet Almond Oils, Ginger Oil can help bring relief to your muscles and joints and warm a cool body. Massage gently over the abdomen and back to ease digestive discomfort.

Suggested Use - For aromatherapy use. For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil prior to use. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios.
